Event Details: Taiwan Visit
In response to the invitation of the Property Managers Association, R.O.C. (PMAROC) and Taichung Property Managers Association, (TCPMA), the Asian Pacific Branch organized a visit tour to Taiwan during the Easter holiday with a view to strengthening communication between the housing professionals of the two places. A total of 14 Executive Committee members (including their spouses) joined the tour.


Led by the Chairman Mr. Ricky Yuen and the Vice Chairman Mr. Victor Chow, the delegation started their journey on 16 April 06. Upon arrival, delegates visited two beautiful small towns in Taipei, namely Nineportion and Tamsui and tasted various local snacks including beef noodle and preserved eggs.


The delegation started their official activities the next morning which include: attending the "International Conference on Property Management 2006" organized by the Taiwan Property Management Association, attending a lunch meeting organized by the PMAROC, and visiting one of the best managed estates in Taipei, the "River & Rich". Thereafter, the delegation left Taipei and went to Taichung. Upon arrival, delegates were warmly received by with the Chairman of TCPMA, Mr F T Kwok and had dinner with him. After dinner, some of the delegates tried the famous hot spring bath to refresh themselves.


In the morning of 18 April 06 , the delegation visited the Earthquake Museum and the King Yip Lok Kwan Building. After the visit, the delegation attended the welcome lunch of TCPMA and shared their Hong Kong experience with the housing professionals of Taichung. After lunch, key members of the Branch including Chairman Mr. Ricky Yuen, Vice Chairman Mr. Victor Chow, Training Officer Mr P L Chiu, Chairman of Publications Committee Dr N M Yip, Chairman of Activities Committee Mr H N Wong and Co-opted member Mrs. Susanna So met the senior officials of TCPMA exploring the possibility of having more in-depth collaboration between the two organizations. Then, the delegation invited TCPMA to dinner in return to their hospitality in the evening.


On the last day of the visit, the delegation left Taichung early in the morning. Back in Taipei, the delegation invited PMAROC to lunch in return to their kind invitation and arrangement in Taiwan. Thereafter, delegates took their last opportunity to visit the famous Shimen-walker district and the National Palace Museum.


During the four days visit, members have widened their visions and had a better understanding on the Property Management industry in Taiwan. Furthermore, the CIHAPB has established a close relationship with the PMAROC and TCPMA which is beneficial for the future communication and interflow between the housing professionals of Hong Kong and Taiwan.
