Event Details: 2008 Branch Executive Committee Brain Storming Session

A brain storming session was held on 15 and 16 March 2007 at Paradise Hill Hotel in Zhuhai, China. At this Session, the new Branch Executive Committee, led by the Chairman, Mr. Victor Chow, reviewed strategies for development.


The work of the Branch in the coming year will still be focused in the Asian Pacific region, namely, Mainland China, Taiwan, Macao, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam. The Branch will aim at fostering stronger ties with counterparts and government officials within these areas to promote professionalism of housing management. The Branch will provide better services to Members to keep them abreast of the present development in housing management, and in the meantime uphold the code of professional conduct.


The Executive Committee also touched on the upgrading of the Branch to “National Business Unit (NBU)”. The Vice Chairman, Mr Sanford Poon was tasked to lead a work group to study details of the transition and the impact being brought about after the upgrading.


Chairpersons of all committees of the Branch submitted their business plans and budgets to the Executive Committee for endorsement. General Manager (Professional Development) also submitted his business plan in the coming year with emphases on the development of the Branch in Mainland China, Taiwan and Macao.


After two days’ in-depth discussion, the Executive Committee approved the business plans of the Committees and adopted the work arrangement of the Branch for 2008.
