A brain storming session was held on 22 February 2009 (Sunday) at Gold Coast Hotel. At this Session, the new Branch Executive Committee, led by the Chairman, Mr. Sanford Poon, reviewed strategies for development.

The work of the Branch in the coming year will still be focused in the Asia Pacific region, namely, Mainland China, Taiwan, Macao, and Malaysia. The Branch will aim at fostering stronger ties with counterparts and government officials within these areas to promote professionalism of housing management. The Branch will strengthen the services provided to its members and to keep them abreast of the current development in housing management in the region, and to uphold the code of professional conduct.

The Executive Committee also touched on recruitment of members in the Asia Pacific region, such as China and Taiwan and to provide professional training programs for housing management executives in mainland China.

Chairpersons of all committees of the Branch submitted their business plans and budgets to the Executive Committee for endorsement. General Manager (Professional Development) also submitted his business plan in the coming year with emphases on the development of the Branch in Mainland China, Taiwan and Macao.

After in-depth discussion, the Executive Committee approved the business plans of the Committees and adopted the work arrangement of the Branch for 2009.
