Seminar on Joint Legal Talk on Public Liability and Recent Court Cases in Building Management
On 28 March 2009 afternoon, Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch (CIHAPB), Hong Kong Institute of Housing (HKIH), and the Department of Public and Social Administration, City University of Hong Kong jointly organized a seminar on "Legal Talk on Public Liability and Recent Court Cases in Building Management" in City University of Hong Kong. The seminar aims to provide members and fellow housing management practitioners a better understanding on public liability, from legal perspective, and to examine some of the recent court cases on building management, including keeping pets in housing estates, etc. CIHAPB was delighted to have Mr K Y Kwok, partner and head of litigation department of Li Kwok & Law Solicitors & Notaries to conduct the talk. The seminar was well received by members of the CIHAPB and HKIH. Around 300 members of both institutes and housing professionals have attended the seminar.
