"Property Management and Asset Services" Summit Conference
On 24 July 07 afternoon, Chartered Institute of Housing Asia Pacific Branch (CIHAPB) and Shenzhen Property Management Association (SZPMA) had jointly organized a Housing Conference in Shenzhen Golden Business Centre. Topic of the conference is "Property Management and Asset Management". Implementing agent of the conference is CB Richard Ellis.
The conference aims to promote professional housing management practice and to introduce asset management to the participants; and serves as a platform for knowledge and experience sharing among housing management professionals in Hong Kong and China. The conference was first of its kind held in Shenzhen by the Asian Pacific Branch. Speakers of the conference include: Mr Alfonso Chu, Executive Director, Asset Services, CB Richard Ellis Greater China, Mr Andrew Kam, Executive Director, Shopping Centre Management, CB Richard Ellis Greater China, Mr Edmond Chau, CIH Council Member, and Dr Ricky Yuen, Chairman of Professional Development Committee, Asian Pacific Branch.
At the opening remarks, Mr. Li Jialin, Chairman of Shenzhen Property Management Association, said that Property Management was a professional service. With the dedication of housing professionals, not only the lifespan of the property could be extended, the value of the property would also be increased and maintained. During the past years, the property market in China was growing very fast and led to the development of many related professional services, such as asset management services etc.
Mr Sanford Poon, Chairman of Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch, also addressed the conference sharing his view with the participants on property management and asset management; and summarized the presentation of the speakers. Mr Poon hoped that CIHAPB could further co-operate with China counterparts on the promotion of professional housing management in China.
During the Q & A session, participants asked a lot of questions on topics in asset management, high value property management and shopping mall management for the speakers to response. The conference was well attended by over 500 housing management professionals from various cities in China and Hong Kong, and was overwhelmingly successful. Participants highly praised the information/knowledge shared by the speakers.
