A brain storming session was held on 6 February 2009 (Saturday) at Gold Coast Hotel. At this session, the new Branch Executive Committee, led by the Chairman, Mr. Sanford Poon, reviewed strategies for development.

The work of the Branch in the coming year will focus in the Asia Pacific region with emphasis on Mainland China, Taiwan and Macao. The Branch will aim at fostering stronger ties with counterparts and government officials within these areas to promote professionalism of housing management. The Branch will strengthen the services provided to its members and to keep them abreast of the current development in housing management in the region, and to uphold the code of professional conduct.

The Executive Committee also touched on the possible change of membership structure and title of the members, and will work closely with Headquarter on the matter related to membership. Furthermore, Executive Committee discussed issues on revitalization of dilapidated buildings with the view of improve the living conditions of the citizens.

Chairpersons of all committees of the Branch submitted their business plans and budgets to the Executive Committee for endorsement. After in-depth discussion, the Executive Committee approved the business plans of the Committees and adopted the work arrangement of the Branch for 2010.
