To celebrate the 45th Anniversary of CIHAPB, the Branch has organized a Charity Film Show on 25 February 2011 evening in AMC, Pacific Place, Admiralty. Executive Committee has also decided to donate the proceeds of the event, other than rental and operational expenses, to Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society.

Executive Committee selected the film titled “127 hours” for the event. The film was directed by Danny Boyle and actors include James Franco, Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara. The film was about a mountain climber, Aron, who was trapped under a boulder while canyoneering alone near Moab, Utah and resorted to desperate measures to survive.

Before commencement of the film show, Mr Cliff Wong, Dr Yip Ngai Ming and Mr Sanford Poon, Chairman, Vice Chairman and Immediate Past Chairman of CIHAPB presented a cheque to Dr W M Ko and Ms Patricia Chu, Chairman and member of Executive Committee of Hong Kong Anti-Cancer Society. Dr Ko has also delivered a speech and thanked for the generous donation of CIHAPB.

The film show was well received by members of the Branch. Over 100 members and their relatives and friends attended the film show and enjoyed a memorial evening.
