Event Details: Visit of EcoPark

On 2 June 2012 morning, the Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch has organized a visit to EcoPark. EcoPark, one of the integrated waste management project of the Environmental Protection Department, is located in Lung Mun Road, Tuen Mun and provides a total of 14 ha of land for occupation by the recycling industry. EcoPark provides affordable and long term land for use by the recycling and environmental industry to encourage investment in advance and cost-effective technologies.


Participants visited the Visitor Centre and 2 Tenants "YOT EcoPark Plastic Resources Recycling Centre" and "Li Tong Group-Processing of waste electronic and computer equipment" in the EcoPark. By using the "Visitor's Smart Card", the participants can collect relevant information for environmental protection and waste recycling. The visit was not only well demonstrated the recycling procedures of various waste / disposed items, but also allow future co-operation with the tenants in promoting environmental protection in the managed properties of the participants. After the visit, a delicious seafood lunch was arranged to all participants at the Seafood Street of Sam Shing Estate.
