Event Details: Legal Talk on Recent Court Cases on Building Management

In the afternoon of 1 December 2012, the Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch (CIHAPB), the Hong Kong Institute of Housing (HKIH) and Department of Public and Social Administration, City University of Hong Kong have jointly organized a legal talk on "Recent Court Cases on Building Management". The talk was well received by both institutes and there were over 200 members attended the talk in City University of Hong Kong.

The talk aims to provide members and fellow building management practitioners an overview and some court cases in four building management related issues namely:


  1. The management of common area;
  2. Adverse possession of common area
  3. Defamation and building management
  4. Owners' Corporation and management committee being charged in contempt of Court.

CIHAPB is pleased to have Mr. K.Y. Kwok, a partner of Li, Kwok & Law Solicitors & Notaries to deliver the talk to the participants.
