The brainstorming session was held on 23 February 2013 (Saturday) at Royal View Hotel, Ting Kau. At this session, the new Branch Executive Committee, led by the Chairman, Dr N M Yip, reviewed strategies for development and business plans with proposed budgets of respective Committees.

In the coming year, the Branch will focus its effort in the Asia Pacific region with emphasis on the Mainland China, Taiwan and Macau. The Branch aims at fostering stronger ties with counterparts and government officials in these areas to promote professionalism of housing management through visits and seminars. This year, the Branch will continue to expand its membership and to organize seminars in the region and further enhance the services to its members.

In the meeting, the Executive Committee also discussed the introduction of Continuous Professional Development program (CPD) for members of CIHAPB and suggested the launching of CPD be made in mid of the year tentatively. The Branch has also introduced the post of Policy Officer and the establishment of the Policy Committee subsequently, who will foster the relationship within the region to gather information on current housing issues.

Chairperson of all Committees of the Branch submitted their business plans and budgets to the Executive Committee for endorsement. Finally, the Executive Committee approved the business plans and budget of the Committees and adopted it as the work of the Branch for 2013.
