Event Details: Site Visit to The Tanner Hill

The Hong Kong Housing Society has launched a pioneer innovative quality elderly housing project of a non-subsidized nature for life-long rental ("The Tanner Hill") in Hong Kong, targeting at the Hong Kong residents aged 60 or above who have higher aspirations for quality retirement living. Members participating to the site visit were impressed by the age-friendly housing design of the flats equipped with home-care support system including emergency call response, entrance motion detection, health data collection and monitoring in order enhance home safety and keep track of the health conditions of the residents. The project is integrated with medical clinic operated by Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital Healthcare and a Chinese medicine clinic operated by the Hong Kong Baptist University School of Medicine, a clubhouse ("Joyous Hub") fitted with a gymnasium, mini theatre and catering etc., and skilled-care centres ("Joyous Circle") comprising the Residential Care Home for the Elderly, Day Care Centre, and Cognitive Training and Rehabilitation Centre, which provide full suite of healthcare, social and lifestyle services for the elderly.
