Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch organized a study tour in Shenzhen with a visit in the am session to a large commercial development----Shenzhen Ping An International Centre, the first tall skyscraper in Shenzhen and the second tallest in Asia. This development comprises occupation for commercial, office and hotel usage with a total gross floor area of about 460,000 sq m. The visiting team was introduced with significant management considerations to provide quality management service to the unique property with regard to its height and transport network location.

In the afternoon, the visiting team went to Lai Chi Yuen Apartments (荔枝苑公寓) in Longgang, Shenzhen exclusively serving the employees and invited visitors of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. This integrated development of a total gross floor area of about 640,000 sq. m. provides the community with self-contained facilities and services in hotel catering, commercial premises, medical clinics and dormitories for about 4,300 households with central air conditioning plants, and central hot water and tap drinking water supply, the only development in the town for such provisions. The visiting team toured around in the central air-conditioning plants and exchanged views on daily operations and technical know-hows of the central air conditioning systems and installations.
