Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch and Department of Public Policy of City University of Hong Kong had jointly organized a seminar which was delivered by Mr. Edmond Chan of CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd. and Mr. Ron Chung of Smart Charge (HK) Limited. Mr. Chan is the Senior Systems Engineering Manager who has joined CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd. since 1996 and is leading the Power Quality and Electric Mobility Team. Mr. Chung is the Director of Engineering and Technical Services of Smart Charge (HK) who has over 27 years of experience in the gas and power industry with diverse roles in projects and maintenance, marketing and customer services, business strategy and regulatory affairs. In the seminar, Mr. Chan introduced CLP's role on supporting the electric vehicle charging (EVC) infrastructure in Hong Kong from a power utility's point of view. Moreover, Mr. Chung talked about Hong Kong's EV market, EVC facilities and needs of EV drivers. He illustrated the key concerns of Building Management Office on the installation of EVC facilities and shared the case study. Our members well received the rich contents of EVC infrastructure in the event. It was recorded that about 45 participants attended the talk.
