Strategies and Technologies to make Existing Buildings Green and Smart: BEAM Plus (V2.0) and Building Information Modelling (BIM)

Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch and Department of Public Policy of City University of Hong Kong jointly organized a seminar delivered by 2 speakers, namely Ir. Martin Wan, Director of Martin Wan Professional Practices Limited, and Mr. Andrew Young, Managing Director (Greater China) of NavVis Information Technology Co. Limited.

In the seminar, Ir. Wan introduced new version of BEAM Plus EB (i.e. V2.0) to encourage more participation of the owners and property managers of existing buildings to enhance energy efficiency and the environmental management practices of these buildings while Mr. Young introduced BIM technology and its application to existing buildings. A lot of successful cases in Hong Kong and other cities on taking part in BEAM Plus V2.0 accreditation and applying BIM technology were shared by the speakers. Our members well received the rich contents in the event. It was recorded that about 80 participants attended the seminar.
