CIHAPB, Yihua Real Estate Management Company and IWBI International WELL Building Research Institute jointly held the "Healthy Building and Scientific Epidemic Prevention" online salon at Shenzhen Han Guo Center, and invited the President of the International WELL Building Research Institute Asia Ms. Xueya to deliver a speech with a systematic and wonderful analysis on the above issues.

Ms. Xueya said: In the first half of 2020, in response to the global epidemic of COVID-19, IWBI invited and co-operated with more than 600 scientists from around the world, including Chinese experts. After scientific and evidence-based research, the WELL health and safety system was established in accordance with the requirements of the WELL standard. For the "Prevention and Control" of the health and safety of buildings such as the space and environmental management of the public area, the management and control of high-frequency contact places, air conditioning and fresh air systems, the management of enclosed spaces such as elevator halls, and the management of vulnerable areas such as toilets, this system provides an effective guidance. Ms. Xueya said that the implementation of the system could improve health and safety levels of building, which not only allows users in the building to feel at ease, but also reflects the social responsibilities of building owners and managers. Moreover, this system provides a healthy and safe environment for the resumption of work, production and learning in the post-epidemic period.

It is reported that the following buildings in China have already passed the WELL HSR evaluation: Shenzhen Han Guo Center, Shenzhen Investment Bank Building, Chongqing Han Guo Jinshan Center, Chongqing Han Guo Center, Peking University HSBC Business School, Shanghai Kerry Garden, Shenzhen Han Jing Center and other projects. Among them, Shenzhen Han Guo Center is the first office building project in China to pass this system evaluation. Peking University HSBC is the first institution of higher education and Shanghai Kerry Gardens is the first apartment in China to apply for this system evaluation.

More than 100 CIH members and professionals from more than 10 cities including Shenzhen, Beijing, Shanghai, Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Macau participated in this salon online.
