Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch had organized a webinar which was delivered by representatives from the Environmental Protection Department, including Mr. Alex Chan, Senior Environmental Protection Officer of the Waste Management (Special Duties) Unit, and Ms. Cary Wan, Senior Environmental Protection Officer of the Food Waste Recycling Team. During the webinar, the speakers introduced the charging mechanism of the Municipal Solid Waste Charging Scheme, account registration and charging system of the gate fee, channels and implementation strategies of bulk purchase of designated rubbish bags. They also shared information and strategies related to food waste management, food waste recycling facilities and smart technology in the Food Waste Collection Pilot Scheme to our members. It was recorded that 229 participants attended the webinar.
