Event Details: Visit Tour of “Macau New Neighbourhood(MNN)” in Hengqin

CIHAPB, in collaboration with the Property Management Professionals Association Macau, visited the "Macau New Neighbourhood" project in Hengqin, together with a group of over 40 experts from the Guangdong Housing Policy Research Center. The project was hosted by the Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR), who explained the project plans and highlights in detail.

The project engineer stated that the MNN project in the Guangdong-Macau Cooperation Zone is a comprehensive community that integrates residential, educational, medical, and social services. All 27 buildings are nearly completed, providing over 4,000 residential units. During the construction process, the combination of prefabricated concrete components and aluminum formwork technology greatly improved efficiency, saving half of the construction time and reducing building waste, achieving energy-saving and emission reduction.

According to CIHAPB's former Chairman Wu Yicheng, this activity is of great help to the integration and development of the Greater Bay Area. The President of the Property Management Professionals Association Macau, Dr Chao Ka Chon, believes that this visit will help Macau's housing and facility-related professionals broaden their horizons and promote Macau residents' understanding of the latest development trends in Hengqin, highlighting the importance of residents from both Macau and Hengqin integrating into China's overall development plan. The participating members not only saw a large-scale project constructed with modern technology but also felt that this was the first example of deep cooperation between Macau and Hengqin, with each building separated by 20 meters, providing a very open view, and with refined delivery standards, providing an attractive environment and living conditions for future livable areas for Macau residents in the deep cooperation zone. Li Yujia, the Associate Director of Guangdong Housing Policy Research Center, said that MNN is an innovative project in China and has the potential to bring new opportunities to the future deep integration zone. During the visit, members also raised in-depth questions about the project's design standards and subsequent facility operation management, and representatives from the MUR answered all the questions, enabling everyone to have a clearer understanding of the various construction and livelihood projects in the Guangdong-Macau Cooperation Zone's MNN project.

The representatives who attended the event included CIHAPB's representative for the Macau region, Chong Sao Wa, the Technical Director of The Housing Policy Research Center of Guangdong Province, Luo Yikeng, the Policy Research Supervisor of Guangdong Housing Policy Research Center, Fang Feiya, the Vice-Presidents of the Property Management Professionals Association Macau, Liu Deli, Chan Tam Sam, Yang Guang, Lee Yan Kwong, Iao Meileng, Wang Lai, Zhang Luzhen, Chen Kang, Lam Chon Loi, Wong Man Hang, So Wai Lok, and the Chairman of the Property Management Professionals Association Macau, Lei Kuong Wa.
