On March 25, 2023, representatives from the Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch and the Hong Kong Institute of Housing visited the Po Leung Kuk Lee Shau Kee Youth Oasis (Oasis) in Yuen Long. The Oasis's Senior Service Manager, Cora Yuen, introduced them to the functions and facilities of the Oasis.

The Oasis covers an area of 6,118 square meters and consists of 27 floors. It provides 1,680 accommodation places with independent restrooms for young people aged 18 to 30 and is self-financed and managed by the Po Leung Kuk. The rent for single and double bed accommodations, which range from 179 to 240 square feet, is priced between $2,950 and $4,200, which is half of the market rent. The initial lease term is two years, but it can be renewed for up to five years. Application qualification is in accordance with the Youth Hostel Scheme of the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, and tenants can enjoy services such as life skills training, volunteer social work, career development training, creative expression platforms, green living culture, and community interest development.

During the visit, the representatives observed that the rooms were well-designed and the recreational facilities were well-equipped, providing spacious green areas and common areas for youths to interact. The equipment and facilities were thoughtfully designed with an emphasis on environmental friendliness.
