The Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch (CIHAPB) and the Building Services Operation and Maintenance Executive Society (BSOMES) jointly hosted a seminar on the "BEAM Plus Existing Buildings (EB) Version 3.0" on 20 September 2025. Guest speakers from the BEAM Society Limited (BSL), Business Environment Council (BEC), Kai Shing Management Services Limited (KSM), and the Hong Kong Housing Society (HKHS) shared insights on the effectiveness of the upgraded assessment tool developed to enhance the performance of existing buildings.

The seminar highlighted the framework's critical role in reducing environmental impact, improving building quality and user satisfaction, and advancing carbon neutrality goals. It encouraged owners of aging buildings to adopt green building management practices and upgrade building service systems, emphasizing their importance in achieving sustainable development. Guest speakers from KSM and HKHS respectively presented how the International Commerce Centre (ICC) and Cho Yiu Chuen applied the "BEAM Plus Existing Buildings (EB) Version 3.0" tool to attain certification, showcasing practical examples of green management in action. All the speakers participated in the final discussion session, engaging with attendees to exchange knowledge on assessment and certification.
