| Housing Management Training for Government Officials of San Xiang Town |

Upon the invitation of the Secretary of Sanxiang Town, Zhongshan City of PRC, Past Vice Chairman and Executive Committee Members led by the Chairman had paid a visit to senior officials of Sanxiang Town to give advice in formulating / organizing a training program on housing management for the local Government Officials.

| CIH Annual Harrogate Conference and Exhibition, UK |

20 to 23 June 2006
The CIH Annual Conference and Exhibition of theme on “Building Communities – Making the Case for Housing” was held on 20-23 June 2006. Three Executive Committee members and nine delegates from HKIH and HKHA attended the conference and joined a study tour to Leeds. Apart from getting in touch with the latest hosing innovations products, a close connection with various housing related professionals and delegates in UK and overseas were established.

| New Joint Office Opening Ceremony |

As of 1 June 2006, the Branch Office has moved from Harbour Centre to Units 2709-11, Shui On Centre, 6-8 Harbour Road, Wanchai which is opposite the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and just a few blocks away from the old office. The joint office, which APB continues to share with our old partners, The Hong Kong Association of Property Management Companies, The Hong Kong Institute of Housing and Housing Managers Registration Board, is bigger and better equipped. An official opening with ribbon-cutting, pig cutting and toasting of the new joint office was held on 10.7.06. About 70 guests and members attended the ceremony. Chairman/President of the institutes wished all the best to the new Joint Office and close co-operation of the Institutes in the years ahead.

| 參觀水務署牛潭尾濾水廠 |

牛潭尾濾水廠於2000年10月落成，是世界上最先進的食水處理廠之一，在美國環保工程師學會舉辦的「二零零一年環保工程卓越成就」比賽中，贏得「卓越成就大獎」。
牛潭尾濾水廠在設計上開創先河，採用活性碳粒子培植細菌，以去除水中的氨。該廠也是香港第一間採用現場製造的臭氧進行初級氧化及最後消毒的濾水廠。先進的臭氧注射接觸器，大大減低運作成本和氣體泄漏風險，因而贏得美國土木工程師學會 (American Civil Engineering Council) 的研究大獎 (Grand Award in Research)。
本會及香港房屋經理學會將於2006年8月26日合辦參觀活動，讓會員認識水務署嚴格的食水處理程序和水質控制、加深了解水務署的服務，以及取得本港食水質素的正確資料。

本會及香港房屋經理學會將於2006年9月7至10日合辦南韓首爾交流團到訪Korea National Housing Corporation，Ministry of Construction and Transportation及私人物業管理專業團體參觀發展住宅項目，交流切磋，藉此加強兩地物業管理專業人士溝通及提高專業水平。
