牛潭尾濾水廠於2000年10月落成，是世界上最先進的食水處理廠之一，在美國環保工程師學會舉辦的「二零零一年環保工程卓越成就」比賽中，贏得「卓越成就大獎」。
牛潭尾濾水廠在設計上開創先河，採用活性碳粒子培植細菌，以去除水中的氨。該廠也是香港第一間採用現場製造的臭氧進行初級氧化及最後消毒的濾水廠。先進的臭氧注射接觸器，大大減低運作成本和氣體泄漏風險，因而贏得美國土木工程師學會 (American Civil Engineering Council) 的研究大獎 (Grand Award in Research)。
本會及香港房屋經理學會將於2006年8月26日合辦參觀活動，讓會員認識水務署嚴格的食水處理程序和水質控制、加深了解水務署的服務，以及取得本港食水質素的正確資料。

7–10 September 2006
Invited by the Korea National Housing Corporation and the Ministry of Construction and Transportation of the South Korean Government, a delegation of 17 members from the Chartered Institute of Housing Asian Pacific Branch and the Hong Kong Institute of Housing have visited Seoul from 7th to 10th September 2006. In the four days visit, there were genuine exchange between the Institutes and the counterparts on housing management in South Korea. It helps to enhance communications between professionals as well as to alleviate practice standards of the two places.

| Opening Ceremony and Orientation Day - Macao Property Management Practitioner Course |

The first Macao Property Management Practitioner Course sponsored and organized by the Labour Bureau and the Housing Bureau of Macao Government, with the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (Morrison Hill), Macao Property Management Business Association and the CIHAPB as co-organizers has been launched. The course highlights the Macao Government´s determination in upgrading the quality of her property management industry to cope with the rapid growth of the property market and aspirations of citizens. To mark the milestone of professional property management practices in Macao, an Official Opening Ceremony cum Orientation of the Macao Practitioner Course was held on 29 September 2006.
