Revamping of Housing Express
In order to balance the delivery of timely news as well as providing indepth information to members, the Publications Committee has made a bold move to change how Housing Express is produced. From June 2006 onward, Housing Express e-edition will be sent out every month via email to all members. News on upcoming events and report on recently completed programmes will be reported. The printed hard-copy regular issues will be published twice a year which will focus on more indepth analysis and comprehensive review of professional issues. The first regular issue is expected to publish by the end of July. Please feel free to convey your comments and valuable suggestions to members of the Publications Committee or to Yip Ngai Ming, Chair of the committee (sayip@cityu.edu.hk). Looking forward to your valuable suggestions.

EMSD HQ is Located at former cargo terminal building in Kowloon Bay, it has been designed with the emphasis of making use of the concrete structure of the old building as far as possible and incorporating a number of energy efficient features and renewable energy technologies.

Second Kai Tak Forum "Planning with the Community" 18, February 2005
To share the Community's views on the outline concept plans for Kai Tak and preparation of preliminary outline development plan, the Harbour-front Enhancement Committee invited CIH to attend the second Kai Tak Forum held on 25 March 2006, at Civil Service Training & Development Institute, North Point. Other than the sharing of community´s views on the Outline Concept Plans, Government bureaux / departments and the study consultants were invited to response to the questions and to discuss the initial ideas in the preparation of development plans.

7th Hong Kong Real Estate Service and City Development Expo, Chongqing 3, March 2006
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) held a Real Estate Service and City Development Expo in Chongqing on 7th and 8th of March. This is the 7th Expo of the kind that HKTDC held in China. With a view to promoting the professional image of the Institute, 3 members of the Executive Committee, led by the Chairman, Mr Ricky Yuen, attended and participated in the Expo.

Visit to Taiwan 16-19 April 2006 16, April 2006
Invited by the Property Managers Association, R.O.C. (PMAROC) and Taichung Property Managers Association, (TCPMA), a 14 members-delegation, led by the Chairman Ricky Yuen and the Deputy Chairman Victor Chow, has visited Taipei and Taichung during the Easter holiday. During the four days visit, members have a better understanding on the property management industry in Taiwan. CIHAPB has also established a close relationship with both the PMAROC and TCPMA. It is hoped that communication and exchange between housing professionals of Hong Kong and Taiwan can be further strengthened in the near future.
